HAZWOPER 

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response

Required annually for all first responders as defined by 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6).  We offer 24-Hour and 40-Hour initial training and annual 8-Hour refresher courses.

 

HAZWOPER 8-Hour Initial Training or Annual Refresher

This course is designed to meet the mandatory annual refresher training requirements for 

  • Workers on hazardous waste cleanup sites

  • Hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal sites (TSDs)

  • First responders at hazardous waste spill/release sites

HAZWOPER 24-Hour Training

The purpose of this course is to train workers responding actively to stop emergency releases or spills of hazardous materials such as:

  • HAZMAT first responders

  • Incident Commanders

  • Occasional on-site workers unlikely to be exposed over permissible exposure limits

  • Regular on-site workers working in monitored areas characterized as having no health hazards or possibility of an emergency developing

HAZWOPER 40-Hour Training

This course is specifically for workers employed at hazardous waste cleanup sites, hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal sites (TSDs), and emergency response operations involving hazardous material releases.
